Maintenance is as easy as removing the canister once a year and replacing it with a new one. Follow the instructions outlined in your Aprilaire 800 owner's manual for safe and effective removal and installation of a new canister.

During humidification season, inspect your Aprilaire 800 steam dehumidifier every 1 to 2 months.

• First, power off the unit and allow it to drain.
• Disconnect power.
• Inspect all piping and plumbing connections for cracks and leaks.
• Look for blockages in the unit's drain line and ensure it is positioned at a constant, downward slope.
• Check the steam hose for constant, upward slope there should be no low spots from the humidifier to the duct dispersion tube.
• For Aprilaire 800 humidifiers with the dispersion tube mounted below the unit, inspect the drip tee drain for clogs.
