To maintain the integrity of the pleats, a heavy-duty, recycled expanded metal reinforcement is laminated to the air-exit side of the media using a thermo-setting adhesive. The pleated cartridge is bonded to the inner perimeter of the outer frame, and the frame face is internally laminated to the apexes of the pleated cartridge.
