The Goodman AMST24BU1300 2 Ton Air Handler is a multi-position residential air handler designed to deliver efficient airflow, dependable performance, and year-round indoor comfort. Featuring a direct-drive, multi-speed ECM blower motor, factory-installed thermal expansion valve (TXV), all-aluminum evaporator coil, and R-32 compatibility, this Goodman air handler is an excellent choice for new HVAC installations or replacement systems.
The multi-speed ECM blower motor provides efficient airflow control to help maintain consistent indoor temperatures while supporting overall system efficiency. The factory-installed TXV precisely regulates refrigerant flow for cooling and heat pump applications, while the all-aluminum evaporator coil provides efficient heat transfer and durable, corrosion-resistant performance.
Optimized for R-32 refrigerant, the AMST24BU1300 includes a factory-installed R-32 sensor designed for the lifespan of the coil. The unit is also AHRI certified, ETL listed, and UL 60335-2-40 compliant.
Installation is simplified with the air handler's horizontal or vertical configuration capabilities and compact 21-inch cabinet depth, making it easier to install in attics, closets, and other tight spaces. A coil mounting track allows for quick coil repositioning, while the rigid SmartFrame™ cabinet, galvanized steel construction, foil-faced insulation, and low cabinet air leakage provide durability and help reduce condensation.
Maintenance is made convenient with tool-less filter access and a durable DecaBDE-free thermoplastic drain pan with secondary drain connections. The AMST24BU1300 also supports field-installed 3 kW–25 kW electric heater kits, providing flexible supplemental heating options.
