Combining the Goodman GLZS5BA4210 outdoor heat pump with the compatible AMST42CU1300 multi-position air handler, this matched system provides up to 15.2 SEER2 efficiency when properly installed.
Designed to provide reliable comfort in every season, the GLZS5BA4210 features a high-efficiency scroll compressor and Goodman SmartShift® technology, which helps deliver quieter, more reliable defrost operation during heating mode. Factory-installed features including a suction-line accumulator, compressor crankcase heater, high-capacity muffler, and high- and low-pressure switches help promote dependable long-term performance while protecting critical system components.
The matched AMST42CU1300 air handler offers exceptional installation flexibility with upflow, downflow, and horizontal configuration capabilities. Its direct-drive 9-speed ECM blower motor delivers consistent airflow for improved indoor comfort, while the factory-installed all-aluminum evaporator coil is designed for durability and corrosion resistance. Optimized for use with R-32 refrigerant, the air handler also includes a factory-installed refrigerant leak detection sensor to meet current A2L refrigerant safety requirements.
Built for long-term durability, the outdoor unit features a heavy-gauge galvanized steel cabinet with an Architectural Gray powder-coated finish, steel louvered coil protection, and convenient top and side service access for easier maintenance. The indoor air handler incorporates a rigid SmartFrame cabinet, foil-faced insulation to reduce cabinet condensation, tool-less filter access, and a compact 21-inch cabinet depth that simplifies installation in attics, closets, and other confined spaces.
