Lennox Smart Room Sensor, a room temperature balancing sensor for Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat, Occupancy, Temperature & Room Averaging Sensor

The Lennox Smart Room Sensor helps you dial in a more perfect environment by providing accurate temperature and humidity readings to the S40 Smart Thermostat and telling it how to balance temperatures across the rooms where the sensor is placed. • Designed to pair with the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat as part of a fully communicating home comfort system. Not compatible with any other Lennox branded thermostat.
  
• The Lennox Smart Room Sensor is discrete, completely wireless, and thanks to its versatility and portability, installs in minutes. 
  
• Can be wall mounted (recommended application) or placed on a shelf using the included stand.
  
• Powered using lithium type batteries. Batteries are pre-installed.  Estimated two-year battery life when using two AA lithium batteries.
  
• Saves energy when rooms are not in use via occupancy sensor. Some utility companies may offer rebates for occupancy sensors. Maximum unobstructed distance for the occupancy sensing capability is 20 feet and maximum width pattern of 110º at a mounting height of five feet from the floor.
  
• Occupancy mode allows you to decide if you prefer the occupancy sensor on or off.
  
• This device collects room temperature, humidity and occupancy status and passes that information to the S40 Smart Thermostat every two minutes to conserve battery life.
  
• Complement your home comfort system with our suite of technologically advanced accessories to more precisely and efficiently maintain the temperature and air quality in your home: Smart Room Sensor, Smart Air Quality Monitor and Wireless Extender 
  
• Communicates wirelessly with the S40 Smart Thermostat via a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Mesh network (proprietary protocol).
  
• New Lennox Smart Technician app allows for quick and easy install of S40 Smart Thermostat and the new smart accessories. Use of Smart Tech app is required for installation.
  
• When connected to the Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat, homeowners can monitor, control, and balance room temperatures from anywhere using the new Lennox Smart Thermostat app for homeowners.

• The Lennox Wireless Extender (sold separately) improves the connection between the S40 Smart Thermostat and the Smart Room Sensor, in larger homes or areas with reduced coverage or “dead spots”. This strengthened connection nearly doubles the coverage area and thus enhances reliability, performance, and usability. 
  
• The Lennox Smart Room Sensor is not compatible with systems using the Lennox Smart Zoning System (iHarmony) installed.

Note: The Smart Room Sensor is not a zoning product and will not solve problems related to poor duct work and incorrect equipment sizing.  The Lennox Smart Zoning System (iHarmony) is to be used for zoning applications.
